I'm out of the shitty apartment and back home temporarily.
Good lord this gallery is ugly after the hiatus, I'll need to make some shiny new art soon.

Hey, I got something you should keep in mind with. After all, I'm not a big fan of the female ghostbusters, but a big fan of the male ghostbusters. I'm doing a Fanfiction about them as teenagers.

Do you require commissions when someone asked you to draw artworks for him/her? If so, how much for each of them?

Sorry, I've been on hiatus for a hell of a long time 'cause of IRL crap.

Idk if you want some overall help on your art but I can see there are a few things that stand out as issues that could really help!

~ Contrast. All your art is very wishy washy, I personally love wishy washy but it does make images not stand out. Being on Deviantart, you may wanna crank up the vibrancy on Photoshop or whatever you use!

(not the contrast, do that manually)

I really like the use of empty space, around EVA and BOXHUNTER especially. The FURY image is your strongest though, stands out, has some solid contrast with shadows and light and is quite interesting!

Bless you for this, I've been wanting feedback like this for a bloody age :iconlazycryplz: I do ask people IRL but they tend to put on their fanart-goggles and nitpick smaller details rather than tell me what's letting the entire thing down. Like, 'oh well you missed this ONE line on the gun' or other things which don't really help me to improve my painting overall, just... Small crap pertinent to drawing that specific character which tells me next to nowt.

When I get back to my desktop, I'll play about with some harder highlighting on a piece I've got in progress and try to make things pop more. Going to have to shake up my palette a bit too for deeper contrast in the shading  I try to avoid using black or near-black altogether in most things and occasionally layer darker complementary colours on top of one another, 'cause I have a deep-seated fear of my stuff looking too inky again. It used to look really goddamn inky.
But I'll do the do. Might take me a few bits of work though to strike a decent balance, it'll probably either be too much or too little the first few.
Don't worry I'm not just going to slap a hardlight layer over the top or cut corners, that's weak shit and it screws up more than it fixes.

You don't need black, just more contrast, make the lighting a little more obvious and the background a different tone.

tonal studies would help, black, grey and white studies of master pieces will show you how masters used light for their composition.

Aaaah, I get you now. I'll definitely work on it~
I'll be honest, I'm normally too lazy to touch the background after finishing whatever on earth I was painting, it ends up remaining a flat colour  It is a bad habit I'm trying to break though, I get too impatient instead of enjoying the work process.

... This gives me a good excuse to ditch my place on Tuesday and chill in the museum with my sketchbook and pencils, then :B They recently moved a few of the impressionist pieces out for some stunning portraiture and landscapes. It'd be a bit more fun than being stuck in front of the monitor again, anyway.
